“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:33-34
We all have priorities, and those priorities shape our lives whether we know it or not. Our priorities have drastic impact upon our ability to succeed and fight the good fight, with absolute precision, in the moments that matter.
Troubling political times can certainly highlight the need to order your priorities accordingly, beginning always with seeking Jesus.
And while there should be no delusion that seeking Jesus first is some sort of magical pass to getting whatever you think you need and want in the here and now…
Prioritizing Jesus before all else enables us to focus immense energy on achieving righteous outcomes. And should we lose the battle, it’s okay…
Because in Him we’ve already won the war.
So, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, don’t worry about tomorrow, and fight with all your energy to secure all that is good, just and righteous in this moment.
